Why choose a bouncy castle?
To answer this question we need to look at the other choices you have available to you when organising your Childs party.
Traditional Childrens Parties.
Whilst no doubt you share the same happy memories as I do of playing Pass the parcel, Musical chairs and the like today’s children tend to have higher expectations. Even though all of the children who attend are likely to have a great time they are also likely to think that it's all a bit "babyish" and that the party has been done "on the cheap." Children can be very cruel and no doubt some of your Childs "friends" will say so at some point. Although it is hard work keeping the children amused on the positive side there is very little expense involved and family will usually rally round to help with preparing the food.
Organised (commercial) Parties
These parties are usually set in pubs, they have special soft play areas which the children love. A Childs pub meal is normally included and a good time is had by all. Unfortunately all of this comes at a price, £6 per head or more! Unless you are willing to pay around £200 for the party this means that only your Childs immediate friends can be invited, not the whole class. The other negative points are that...
1. The food is too grown-up for some children who may end up eating nothing.
2. Time spent in the play area is timed and the children have to leave when their hour is up.
3. The play area is not exclusive to your party, other children or even other parties are likely to be sharing it with you.
Bouncy Castle Parties
Other than the hire charge of the bouncy castle the costs are the same as for a traditional party. Like a traditional party there is no need to be careful with the number of children attending so the whole class can be invited avoiding jealousy or bad feeling on the playground. Parents can still play party games with the children if they wish but there is no need to keep it up for the duration of the party and there is a more relaxed feeling. Parents can sit in the garden and get to know one another whilst watching the children play. Basically you have installed a soft play area in your own garden for the whole day at a cost of not much more than £1 per head! Your only concerns may be the size of your garden or the weather, garden suitability problems are not insurmountable! Whichever way you look at it bouncy castle hire makes a lot of sense.
